For those people who were unable to get tickets (or unwilling to be forced to buy 2 tickets when you only needed 1, in my case), the Matador at 21 concert will be streamed live online through Myspace. It doesn’t look like all of the bands are being streamed though. Notably missing are Sonic Youth, Superchunk, and Yo La Tengo.
I hear this Myspace thing used to be popular a few years ago, but the last time I looked, there was nothing left but bands (honestly, it’s the only good use for Myspace at this point, unless you are using auto-play in your music player, then you’re just annoying potential fans) and freaks of nature seeking attention. Regardless, for those of us who won’t be making it out to Las Vegas next week, this is a pretty cool way to join in the festivities. Grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and be bummed that you’re missing out on a fun time in Vegas!
